Joye Anestis, Ph.D., received her Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Millsaps College in 2004. She was awarded her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Florida State University (FSU) in 2012, after completing a pre-doctoral internship at the Minneapolis VAHCS. While at FSU, Dr. Anestis worked with Dr. Joyce Carbonell on projects regarding externalizing psychopathology, offending, and assessment. Dr. Anestis is currently an Associate Professor in the Department of Health Behavior, Society, & Policy in the Rutgers University School of Public Health, a supervisor for the Rutgers University Behavioral Healthcare Pre-Doctoral Psychology Internship, and she serves as an Associate Editor for the Journal of Personality Assessment. Before coming to Rutgers, Dr. Anestis was an Associate Professor at the University of Southern Mississippi (USM; 2012-2020). At USM, Dr. Anestis was awarded a Nina Bell Suggs Endowed Professorship in 2017. The Suggs Professorship recognizes junior faculty at USM for outstanding accomplishment and professional promise.

Graduate Students
Taylor Rodriguez, M.S., M.A., is a doctoral student in clinical psychology at Rutgers University. She completed undergraduate and graduate (M.S. - Clinical Psychology) training at Augusta University and additional graduate training at the University of Southern Mississippi (M.A. - Clinical Psychology). Taylor is primarily interested in traits (e.g., personality, sociodemographic variables) and preferences of clients and therapists as they relate to psychotherapy process and outcomes.

Lab Graduates
Olivia Preston, Ph.D, is a post-doctoral fellow at the Alpert Medical School of Brown University, working in the Trauma and Readjustment Clinic. She completed her undergraduate studies in psychology and criminology and criminal justice at Portland State University in Oregon. Olivia completed her pre-doctoral internship at the Orlando VAMC.
Brian Bulla, Ph.D, is a post-doctoral fellow in LGBTQ+ healthcare at the Boston VAMC. He completed his undergraduate and graduate (M.A.-Psychology) studies at UNC-Greensboro and UNC-Wilmington, respectively. Brian completed his pre-doctoral internship at the Salem VAMC.
Tiffany Harrop, Ph.D. is a psychologist at the Center for Behavioral Medicine. She completed her undergraduate and graduate (M.A.-Psychology) training at Peru State College and Western Carolina University, respectively. She also completed a forensic psychology post-doctoral fellowship at the Medical University of South Carolina. Tiffany completed her pre-doctoral internship at the Center for Behavioral Medicine.
